Workshop smashes new Corvette C8
A proud owner of the new Chevrotlet Corvette C8 brought his car to a workshop only to witness them to smash the car.
The Corvette C8 must have slipped from the car lift. The heavy back of the very first mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette is on the ground, while the front is still somehow in the air. At least the right side of the Corvette is heavily damaged. A missing front wheel indicates that the mechanics were maybe still working on the C8.
It seems that workshop hasn’t used the proper lifting points of the Chevrolet Corvette C8. Using the proper lifting points of a vehicle is crucial and especially important for the Corvette. The lightweight body of the Corvette has been already sensitive for generations of the Corvette. With the new mid-engine concept of the C8, the weight distribution of the Vette has changed completely compared to the Corvettes before, which have all been front engined. The result of the workshop’s lack of attention can be seen in the Instagram post of jakeam3 (Jake), who is the owner of the vehicle.
Jake says that he didn’t want to make this accident public, in order to give the workshop the chance to correct their error without bigger fuzz. But some “idiots” from the service department decided to share pictures of the smashed Corvette on the internet without his consent.
We feel sorry for Jake and the misfortuned guy in the workshop, who didn’t pay attention when it was needed. Hope you will find a good solution out of this!
